Calf sired by Somerset Brodie Axel. Birth weight 66#.
Belle is a productive young cow that has done everything right for us: 3 natural, unassisted calves. Excellent mothering ability. Strong milk production. Quiet, easy-to-work disposition. Excellent udder and teat structure. She is on track for Impact Dam status with one more calf under a 380-day interval. Previous natural-born calves:
4/1/24 silver heifer — 62# BW — weighed 554# at one year (retained)
4/8/25 silver heifer — 72# BW — 405# adjusted weaning weight (retained)
Belle has also produced:
3 additional silver ET heifers (retained one, sold two others - $14,500 and $10,400)
1 silver ET bull (used in our herd on unrelated females, then sold private treaty)
We are retaining multiple daughters from this cow as part of our effort to build a strong exclusively-silver Highland program in Northwest Indiana. The consistency of silver color, maternal ability, and calf vigor has made her an important female in our herd.
